At Dayspring Christian Academy, our goal is to glorify God by assisting the Christian family in the discipleship, education, and nurture of our children and to ensure the success of each student enrolled. Our partnership with parents and each student's success begins with the admissions process.

    • General Admission Policies:

Dayspring does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, age* or national origin. Due to high demand for placement and high re-enrollment rates at Dayspring, students may be placed on a waiting list. Placement of students on the waiting list in grades 1 through 9 is based on the date of the application and priority status. Kindergarten applications are ordered on a first-come, first-served basis. Placement on the waiting list does not constitute acceptance.

*A child must be 3 years old by September 1st to enroll in our Pre-K3 program, 4 years old by September 1st for our Pre-K4 program and 5 by September 1st to enroll in Kindergarten.

    Curriculum : Scope of Curriculum

Our philosophy is to choose curriculum that meets the goal of providing a high quality education with a Christian perspective and resources that help our teachers present that material most effectively. We use a variety of publishers in order to provide the best materials for each course. Each curricular area is taught to present a Christian world and life view. Each curricular area undergoes a thorough review every five years to evaluate its effectiveness and to provide a superior Christian education.

    Elementary School Cirriculum

    • Dayspring PreK Curriculum

There is no one curriculum used in the PreK program. Activities are pulled from some A Beka and ACSI publications and many different workbook resources. Learning takes place through the use of group interaction, games, and worksheets.

There is a major emphasis placed on learning to share and cooperate with classmates. The children are taught to take turns and respect each other as well as learning to sit still and listen in group situations.

Annual tuition may be paid monthly over 10 months (August - May) or 11 months (July - May).
Tuition payments are received through electronic withdrawal on the 5th or 20th of the month.
A 3% discount will be given if a student's tuition is paid in full by July 31st.

Application Fee: An application fee of $300 per student must be paid at the time of your on-line application. If you are enrolling multiple students, $265 of each application fee after the first student, will be applied to your first month tuition payment.

Student Fee: School districts including public schools throughout the region, faced with financial challenges, have reluctantly imposed a "student fee" to pay for the costs of laboratory, technology, and enrichment materials. Dayspring Christian Academy, faced with the same challenges, has adopted a similar approach. To maintain the timely acquisition of necessary materials and equipment, the student fee is due by the first day of school, and is due on an annual basis.

Referral Tuition Credit is available to those families that refer another family to Dayspring. The referring family will receive 10% of what the referred family pays in tuition the first school year they attend Dayspring. The referring family needs to notify the office of their referral no later than 1 week after the new family has started school.

(Available for full time students in Full Day Kindergarten -12th grade)

Multiple Student Discounts are now available for those families enrolling more than two children living in the same household. The discount applies to the entire tuition and will be applied prior to any other discounts. Additional discounts will be applied on the reduced tuition price. The discount is 10% for 3 students and 15% for 4 or more students. The Multiple Student discount may not be combined with the Pastor or Employee discount.

Pastor Discounts are available for licensed pastors, Para-church professionals and missionaries who derive more than 75% of their individual income from full time employment in a ministry. A 50% tuition reduction will be given upon receipt of a letter from the ministry stating their position with the ministry. The Pastor discount may not be combined with the Multiple Student or Employee discount.

(Available for full time students in Full Day Kindergarten -12th grade)

The desire of Dayspring Christian Academy is to offer a Christian education to as many families as possible regardless of their social or economic status. Tuition assistance is available on an annual basis contingent on funds available and financial need. We have contracted with a tuition assistance service to assist us in our tuition assistance process. All families interested must apply each year. Qualification does not carry over from year to year. To apply, go to www.cfslogin.com (School ID = 01151). Applications should be completed by April 1st each year. Any families beginning the enrollment process after April 1st may still apply for tuition assistance and it will be awarded contingent on availability of funds. The total tuition assistance awarded may not exceed 50% of your tuition.

      Who should apply?

A rule of thumb is that if the tuition for your child/children exceeds 7% of your household net income (see chart below), you probably should apply. This is not a guarantee you will qualify but it is possible.

      Tuition Net Income Percent Apply?
      $4,925.00 $69,000.00 or lower 7.0% Yes
      $5,295.00 $74,000.00 or lower 7.0% Yes
      $5,575.00 $78,000.00 or lower 7.0% Yes
      $5,825.00 $83,000.00 or lower 7.0% Yes

      Tuition Assistance Expectations

Fundraising: Accepting tuition assistance from Dayspring requires families to participate in all of our fund raising efforts. This includes Scrip ($300 per month minimum). Scrip is the term we use for gift certificates from over 80 different local and nation-wide merchants that we purchase at a discount and sell to our families at face value. These certificates can be used for things you are already buying like groceries and gasoline and are available at the cashier’s window just inside the school.

Academics: The funding provided for tuition assistance is provided through the sacrificial giving of donors and other tuition payers. Dayspring has a fiduciary responsibility to be a good steward of those funds and students who are receiving tuition assistance are expected to be good stewards of that assistance.

All students are expected to give their best, consistent with Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men. This is demonstrated through academic performance, as well as by:

      • 1. Working diligently and completing their work to the best of their ability and turning it in on time
      • 2. Having constructive attitudes and behavior and not disrupting the learning environment
      • 3. Respecting other students and those in authority over them

A student's decision not to comply with the above expectations, which results in placing the student placed on academic probation, will result in loss of tuition assistance for the following semester. New students enrolled on academic probation are not eligible for tuition assistance.

Students with passing performance the next semester (after tuition assistance has been discontinued) may reapply for tuition assistance the following semester, and will be considered based on availability of funding.

Eagle Wings Scholarships are privately funded Scholarships to new middle school and high school students contingent on funds available and financial need. Eagle's Wings applications are available in the office for any interested family. Once awarded an Eagle's Wings Scholarship you are eligible to reapply for one each year until graduation based on qualification. Families may be awarded up to $ 2,500 per year per student, up to a maximum of $ 5,000 per year per family.
